This special oud comes directly from Egypt and was created by the late luthier Agib Nasif a decade ago, a renowned Egyptian craftsman specializing in Iraqi style floating bridge ouds. This musical instrument was made and designed with the famous oud player Naseer Shamma and has the particularity of having 16 strings, that is to say that it has 5 tripled strings + the bass, in order to obtain a stronger sound and a sound grain slightly different from a traditional oud. The body is made of walnut wood with an ebony fingerboard and pegs, however pay attention to the width of the handle which is obviously particularly large to contain all the strings. The soundboard of this oud is made of cedar and the oud comes with a padded bag and 3 rishas.
